Questions and answers

When can I create a memorial?

Creating memorials is COMING SOON.

Do I need permission to fix a plaque to a headstone?

Usually, yes. Check with whoever owns the grave and with the churchyard or cemetery before fixing anything. Many have rules about what can be added to a memorial.

Will the plaque last outdoors?

The plaque is made to be weatherproof and to stay readable outdoors. If it is ever lost or damaged, contact us.

What happens when someone scans the plaque?

Their phone opens the memorial page. It works even when the page is private, because the plaque carries its own key.

Who can see a private memorial?

Only people who scan the plaque, use your private link, or know the password. Private memorials never appear in our search or on Google.

Can I record a grave of someone I didn’t know?

Yes. Historic grave records are public, so restorers and family historians can find them. Add what is written on the stone, its location and its condition.

What if Yewaura closes?

Part of every plaque sale goes into a fund for keeping pages online. If we ever had to close, we would give every family a copy of their memorial.

Can I delete a memorial?

Yes. You can delete a memorial, its photos and its guestbook at any time from your account.
